Joshua Breen K-5 Instrumental Teacher
Mr. Breen spent most of his childhood in Champaign IL before moving to California and graduating from Santiago High School in Corona CA. He holds a BS in Music Education form VanderCook College of Music where he graduated magna cum laude. This is his second-year teaching in the Quincy Public Schools. I am a member of the Instrumental Traveling team and teach at all 5 elementary schools and the Junior High.

Philip Kagan – K-5 Instrumental Teacher
Mr. Kagan is entering his eighth year teaching, and his fourth year with Quincy Public Schools. Mr. Kagan grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and studied music education at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Mr. Kagan loves traveling, outdoor activities, art, and performing. Mr. Kagan has performed with Quincy Community Theatre, Quincy Concert Band, Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Muddy River Opera, Hannibal Lagrange University Theatre, Hannibal High School Theatre. Always check the program to see if Mr. Kagan is playing!

Edward Sailer – K-5 Instrumental Teacher
Edward Sailer is a 2nd year band director in Quincy Public School District. He grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and graduated summa cum laude from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago where he was a Victor Zajec Memorial Award Recipient. Mr. Sailer is an active private lesson teacher and performer in Quincy performing in the Quincy Symphony Orchestra and Quincy Concert Band. He spent his summers working at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Blue Lake International Program, and at various music camps around the Chicago area. Mr. Sailer is also a member of The National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, Illinois Music Education Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Andria Ball – K-5 Instrumental Teacher
Andria is originally from St. Peters, MO and attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. This is her fifth year in Quincy. Andria is a member of the Quincy Symphony and occasionally plays in pit orchestras for Quincy Community Theater. In her free time, she enjoys painting, journaling, and cooking.

Jessica Snider – K-5 Instrumental Teacher
Jessica is originally from Quincy and attended Culver-Stockton College and Kansas State University. She has been teaching for 16 years with the last two of those in Quincy. She is married to Mr. Snider (also a QPS music teacher) and they have two daughters.
